Poor Ed. Created as a thief for a group about to brave the Deadly Sunless Citadel, Ed was a sneaky sort who frequently diappeared for long periods, coming back to the group with pockets laden with treasure. He was quiet and withdrawn and lasted only long enough to hear those immortal words, after disabling a trap, "You're pretty sure you disabled the trap."
One scything blade trap attack later, Ed was an ex-thief. His comrades, being good and honorable sorts, neglected to search his body and buried Ed with his ill-gotten gains, totaling some 1000+ gold pieces. The short and brutal life of Ed led to the memorable quote, "We're gonna need another Ed!"
